Administrative duties

There is something about administrative duties that make me nervous in a way that research duties do not. It is that attention to details in numbers and words, and then the many people involved in different ways in the work.

The handling of public monies, the many levels and layers of people you have to go through to make a change. The rules and regulations.

These ensure money is used rightly and wisely.

But it sometimes make me feel more like an accountant and a secretary.

But okay, I will do my best to pick up these skills. See this as an opportunity to broaden my skill sets.

I am back in Academia!

I found a job but now instead of studying education of younger people, I am studying education of adults! I found out today that it is called andragogy - the method and practice of teaching adult learners.

I needed a way once again to guide my study of this new field and subject, so I will return to using this blog. I am learning a bit everyday, both administratively and also research wise.

So I am going to learn a new field again, like I did previous with citizenship education.

Stay tuned!
